Velkommen! Whether your are visiting or live here the Denmark Police Department is here to assist any way it can. We are committed to working with citizens from within our Village and in the surrounding areas to keep you and our community safe.

The Denmark Police Department has two full-time Police Officers with back up assistance from the Brown County Sheriff's Department. If we are not available please call our office and you will be connected to the Brown County Sheriff's Office and they would be happy to assist you.

  • Denmark Municipal Court is held every 1st Wednesday of the month for initial appearances and every 3rd Thursday of the month for court trials. If you need to speak with the Municipal Court Judge Charles Teege or the Clerk of Courts, Melissa Teege, please call the Village Hall at (920) 863-6400.
  • Bike Licenses are available at Village Hall for $3 and they are non-expiring.
  • Copies of Reports please call or write the listing above. Cost of reports $3; more if you need copies, pictures, diagrams or the report is lengthy.
  • Civil Process Service available $25 for papers and $50 for Replevins, includes mileage and 3 attempts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How do I get a copy of a Police Report and is there a cost?

A. Accident and incident reports are available for release to appropriate parties during normal business hours. There is a $.15 per page charge. Please call 863-2126 to order a report.

Q. Can I have my house checked when I go on vacation?

A. Residents who go on vacation or otherwise leaving their houses unoccupied are encouraged to notify the Police Department. The Police Department will make periodic exterior checks to your home.

Q. How do I pay a citation?

A. All citations can be paid in person at the Police Department at 118 E. Main St. Demark, during normal business hours, 8am to 4:30pm, Monday thru Friday. Payments can also be mailed to the address listed on the citation. Traffic citations must be paid by the court date on the citation or the defendant must appear in court on that date. Failure to pay the citation on time can result in additional cost, suspension of the violator’s vehicle registration, and/or suspension of his or her driver’s license.

Q. Do I need to license my pet(s)?

A. Yes. All dogs over 5 months old must be licensed every year. Licenses can be obtained at the Village Hall with proof of rabies vaccination and payment of the license fee. Licenses run through the calendar year. The fees are $5.00 for spayed and neutered dogs and $10.00 for non-spayed or not neutered. Licenses obtained after April 1st are subject to a $5.00 late fee. Cats currently are not licensed in the Village.
