Village Board Members

We pride ourselves on our community spirit and our know-your-neighbor approach to living. Many people are seeking this way of life, once believed to be lost, but still very much alive here in Denmark. While developers build more houses, new businesses are locating here and existing businesses are expanding, the Trustees and Village staff make sure we maintain our high quality of life and offer newcomers a true "home".

Bob continues to guide the Board as its President paying strict attention to the tax rate and level of services provided the residents while Denmark expands with new homes and businesses.

Trustee Dan Dvorak
Dan Dvorak has been on the Village Board for four years. Since becoming a Trustee, Dan has developed a reputation as being one of the “go to” Trustees whenever there is a difficult situation or issue that needs to be addressed. A recent example is that of the wastewater treatment plant. The aging facility had been experiencing a host of problems and the Village needed someone who could take on the responsibility of turning things around at the plant. Dan took on the challenge and has been able to get people to work together and set the stage for future improvements at the facility. Dan was instrumental in convincing the DNR to reissue our facility a new five year discharge elimination system permit. He also assisted in obtaining a grant and low interest financing to reduce the financial burden of the Village. Dan and his wife Sara and their two children live on Diamond Ridge Circle. When Dan isn’t working on ways to improve our community he works as an electrician with Town & Country.

Trustee Cathy Duescher
Cathy Duescher is a long-time resident of the Denmark area. She has two adult children and Cathy has been employed for over 25 years with Georgia Pacific. Marian continues to work hard to ensure residents’ concerns and ideas are heard and addressed and that the needs of the village to grow for the future are not being compromised. Marian serves as the Chair of the Forestry, Park and Recreation Committee and is a member of the Administration & Finance and Sewer Utility committees.

Trustee Gerald Steinberger
Gerald Steinberger, who is a retired paper mill worker and currently is a  part-time carpenter.
