| About the Department
The Department consist of a Police Chief, 1 full time officer, 1 part time officer, 2 Crossing Guards, and a part-time School Resource Officer for the Denmark School District. Back up assistance is provided from the Brown County Sheriff's Department. These dedicated individuals, along with the Brown County Sheriff's Department provide services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Products & Services
- Investigate burglary, thefts, arson, vice narcotics, sexual assaults/abuse, Juvenile matters, traffic enforcement and other state, county and local laws As required.
- Reporting and investigation of traffic accidents
- Handle initial investigations of crimes or criminal activity and complete proper reports
- File criminal complaints with the District Attorney's office
- Render and provide assistance to those whom live, work or visit the Village. This would include investigation of problems that citizens encounter such as Lock-out of homes, check businesses for open doors and windows, check homes While citizens are on vacation, assist motorist with directions and solutions to Mechanical problems, search for lost children, provide animal control, and Mediate disputes between citizens in an effort to maintain a peaceful environment.

Animal Control
Dogs are not allowed within Memorial Park. Dogs are allowed on the Recreational Trail. Dogs are required to be licensed. Cats are not licensed. Only two dogs can be kept on any residentially zoned lot. Only two dogs per parcel can be kept within any residential rental complex. Any dog at large (off the owner's premises) shall be controlled by the owner with the means of a leash or other personal attention as will reasonably control the conduct and actions of the animal.
No person who has custody of a dog shall walk or escort such animal off the property of the owner or custodian unless the person is in possession of equipment to clean up any defecation which may be deposited by such animal.
Lost animals that have been captured by Police or citizens should be turned-in to the Northeast Wisconsin Vet Service at 135 Broadway Street, Denmark, WI. Telephone No. 863-8007. Boarding fees will be assessed against the pet owners.
