Voter Registration and Election Information
|
Village residents vote at the Denmark Village Hall located at 118 E. Main Street in Denmark. Our building is directly across from the Denmark State Bank and next to the Trophy Shop. Your voting place depends on where you live. Although many people may have Denmark as a mailing address, not everyone actually lives within our corporate boundary limits. Our Village is surrounded by the Town of New Denmark and town residents can not vote at the Denmark Village Hall. If you are unsure of where you should vote, please call Village Hall at 863-6400. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
You must register before you can vote in the Village of Denmark. This can be done prior to the election at Village Hall or on election day at the polls. You will need one form of identification (drivers license, checkbook, utility bill, etc.) with your current Village of Denmark address. In order to register and vote you must have resided in the Village of Denmark for at least 10 days prior to the election.
If you will be out of the Village , for an election, you may vote by absentee ballot . For more information on elections, polling place or voting by absentee ballot , please contact the Village Clerk at 863-6400.
